Sponsor & Support A Book Giveaway or Event

Our team distributes thousands of diverse books to schools every year. Set up a book drive in your office or sponsor a book purchase for our student programs. Alternatively, consider an impactful sponsorship of our annual gala held at the beautiful Harlem Parish in the spring. Company will be listed on social media, newsletter and website promotion. Sponsorship benefits and levels vary.

Sponsor a Classroom

Your company will be paired with a Behind the Book class for the duration of a program (2-3 months). Your staff will be invited to volunteer, meet the author, and assist with the different workshops.

Host A “Bring Your Child to Work Day” at Your Company

(remote or in-person)

If your company is looking for programming for these exciting days, we can provide workshops to make the experience flow smoothly. Examples include a ‘What I want to be when I grow up’ writing workshop where parents and children write together and young people have the chance to express their own hopes for the future. It’s a bonding opportunity no one will forget.

Host a Literacy Motivation Workshop for Employees

(remote or in-person)

Behind the Book can host an online workshop on reading motivation for parents or anyone who has a child in their life. This workshop will illustrate best practices for encouraging children to be self-motivated to read, and give practical tips and techniques to turn even a reticent reader into an eager one.

Bring a Class to Your Office

BtB students are from low-income communities. Most have limited exposure to professional career paths and often have never set foot in an office building. Hosting a class for a writing workshop provides an eye-opening, horizon-expanding experience for our scholars. It is an experience neither you nor they will forget.
