Sophia Taziny

Program Operations and Community Engagement Coordinator
Sophia is a dedicated social justice youth advocate with over 9 years of experience uplifting young people through education, mentorship, and community centered initiatives. She has worked across nonprofits in Philadelphia and New York, bringing both direct and indirect classroom experience to her practice. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2020 with a BA in Sociology and minors in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies and Black Studies. A highlight of her studies was the various community youth work she did while studying International Social Welfare in South Africa. As an avid reader, she is passionate about expanding access to transformative literary experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning
