Darlene Okpo

Darlene is a seasoned educator with over 15 years of experience in education and youth development. She taught full-time for five years and has worked with several nonprofit organizations committed to equity, literacy, college and career readiness, and student empowerment. Her deep love for reading and belief in the power of storytelling led her to open Adanne Bookshop in 2021 - a community centered space dedicated to celebrating BIPOC authors and fostering a culture of literacy and creativity.
