Angelic has dedicated her career to non-profit causes, supporting various sized organizations with different mission-driven initiatives.  Behind the Book has afforded her the opportunity to support an organization with whose literacy mission she has a personal connection—deepening the concept of reading as a vehicle for making connections to ourselves, others, and the world, fostering critical thinking through discussions and reflection, and imparting the idea that representation in books and stories matter in fostering a joy of reading in children of diverse backgrounds.  Angelic is a proud library card holder and, whenever she can find the time, she likes to read cheesy whodunnits!
