WHO:
Maureen Johnson is the author of seven novels for teens, including The Key to the Golden Firebird, 13 Little Blue Envelopes, The Bermudez Triangle, Devilish, Suite Scarlett, Girl at Sea, and Let it Snow. She earned a BA from the University of Delaware and a masters degree from Columbia University School of the Arts, where she studied theatrical dramaturgy and writing. She lives in New York City.
Siobhan Vivian grew up in Rutherford, NJ. She received a BFA in Writing for Film and Television from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. Her first novel A Little Friendly Advice was published earlier this year, and her second novel Same Difference comes out in 2009. Siobhan lives in New York City.
Coe Booth grew up in the Bronx. After graduating from college, Ms. Booth worked with teens and families in crisis. Her experiences with this work inspired her to write her first novel Tyrell, about a homeless teen, which she wrote while finishing an MFA program at the New School. Her second novel, Kendra, has just been published. Ms. Booth has worked with Behind the Book for the past three years, visiting schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Judy Blundell has written several books in the Star Wars and the Ghostwriter series. She is also the author of What I Saw and How I Lied, a historical fiction novel about a girl who becomes involved in a complicated and deceptive relationship with an ex-GI soldier who served in her father’s company during World War II. Ms. Blundell lives in Katonah, New York with her husband and daughter.
