Workshop 1: October 12th, 2010
Grade 6
Behind the Book teaching artist Barbara Korein visited a 6th grade class at JHS 13 to conduct a journal-making workshop. Each student was given a journal which they then personalized and used for creative writing and reading responses to subsequent author visits through Behind the Book. The class that took part in this activity later did a November program with Zetta Elliott, author of Bird, and a spring program with author Gail Carson Levine.
