News is proud to announce that we have new funders: The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation recently awarded us $10,000 for our Elementary school (ELSI) programs. We received funding from Columbia Community Service for our programs at Thurgood Marshall Academy and a TAP Grant from New York State. Council Member Darlene Mealy (Brooklyn - District 41) also has awarded us a grant in support of our work at CS 21 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The generous support of these funders is deeply appreciated.

News appeared on Ceslie Armstrong's blog talk radio show, "The Ceslie Show". To listen to Jo Umans, our founder and Executive Director talk about Behind the Book's programs and upcoming events click here or visit The Buzz.
