Students read Alissa Quart’s book Branded: The Buying and Selling of Teenagers. Ms. Quart visited DeWitt and taught the students how to write persuasive essays about a specific topic. On Ms. Quart’s second visit, she gave the class feedback and encouraged the students to peer review each other’s work.
