On Thursday, June 24th 2010, Party4aCause hosted Sunset Social on the Terrace: A Summer Networking Event to benefit Behind the Book at Hudson Terrace.
Over 75 guests came out to mix and mingle with other young professionals and support Behind the Book. Guests were treated to a cocktail tasting and mixology tutorial by an expert mixologist, complimentary sample cocktails, and free guest giveaways.
The event also featured a silent auction with prizes from The Blue Man Group, Yogaworks, Community Food and Juice, Mercadito and many more.
Proceeds from the event are going towards Behind the Book's programs this year, providing curriculum-integrated literacy programs to students in NYC public schools.

The mission of Behind the Book is to excite children and young adults about reading. Working with low-income students in New York City’s K-12 public schools, Behind the Book brings authors and their books into individual classrooms to build literacy skills and nurture a new generation of book readers.
