It was 2110; the town of Cyanide City had just experienced the aftermath of nuclear warfare. Scientists couldn't explain what had hapened as they pulled radioactive bodies out of the rubble. The only good part to the disaster was that there were two survivors. Their names were Pain and Penance; two teenage boys who were living the carefree life. Two lives forever changed by one simple explosion; the explosion that took the lives of both their families. The two boys didn't realize what happened until their 13th birthday, which happened to be unlucky for them to hear such bad news. Just recently, both boys went under a complete transformation of their human skeletal system. They were both outfitted with tungsten-carbide exoskeletons along with flux weaponry, which allows ay part of their body to take the form of any weapon that they choose.
Today marks the dawn of a new age, an age of teenage supersoldiers equipped with futuristic weaponry, soldiers that were unheard of until now. There are two dangers in the world, their names are Pain and Penance, and they will show no mercy. The tale of these two great groundbreaking science experiments begins in Quantum Park............
The world seems to never change, thought Penance. He then realized he had an important meeting with Pain, his long-time best friend since the nuclear bombing. As he flew through the low gravity atmosphere towards Quantum Park, he paused to check if there were any alien scouts lurking around. He lined himself for a landing when suddenly a metal object flew toward his head. The projectile hit its target accurately. Penance automatically activated his weapons system and started scanning the ground for anything that even appeared to be an alien. He scanned closely and saw an outline of what seemed to be a human. He powered down his weapons, for he recognized the human being as Pain, who was rolling on the wet and sticky grass with laughter.
"Wow, I never knew my aim was that good!" Pain yelled, still rolling in laughter.
"Hey I was going to kill you if I didn't recognize you," Penance replied. "Besides, your aim is second only to mines. Oh yea, wasn't there something you desperately had to tell me?"
Pain's face suddenly took on a gloomy look and he got lost in thought. Then he spoke, "Um, well... it's kind of difficult to explain..." He drifted off. Penance quickly realized that something had gone terribly wrong.
"Pain, are you ok? What happened?" Penance yelled, trying to return his friend to reality. "Come on, talk to me, man!"
All of a sudden, Pain started to cry. "W-We have a-a big problem, man. There are these aliens, they're just tearing and ripping stuff up."
Penance slapped Pain, trying to help his friend regain his sense. "Hey man, keep it together. I need your help to take out these galactic slimeballs." Pain seemed to get the message and he stopped panicking.
"Ok, I hear you man, it's just that I'm worried about what could happen to us," Pain replied. "It's like we are the only two fucking superbeings in this godforsaken world." He looked out into the darkness of the night. The sounds of the machinery could clearly be heard in the ensuing silence.
Daybreak. Penance woke up to see Pain sitting, his legs hanging off a cliff.
"Yo, we have to get out of here now. These aliens are not playing and this time they mean business," Pain said.
Penance rushed to the edge of the cliff, nearly slipping off. "What the--" He could barely get his words out before a blast from an alien ship shattered the front of the cliff. The two boys entered free-fall and engaged their jetpacks. "Man, that was close! We almost died just now," Penance yelled as they dodged falling boulders.
"That was a cheap shot, those bastards!!!!" Pain yelled in reply. "We have to deal with these guys sooner or later, man. But let's get out of here first."
"I hear you man, so where to? We just survived an alien attack on our lives, and I don't know about you, but I'm not in the mood to die just yet."
"Ok cool, let's go to Wrath Tower and we'll plan how to take down these punks."
"Yeah, I think they may be going in that direction. We'll head them off and then we will get our revenge on Zod."
The two boys flew through the frigid air towards Carnage City, sensing the taste of bitter vengeance. After two grueling hours, they finally reached the dreaded city. The two boys stared in awe at the enormous and vast city."
"Wow, this is a big-ass city, they could be anywhere in here," Pain said. "What do you think, Penance?"
"I think we should get into this city so we can finish what has been started," Penance stated. "We need to hit them where it hurts and that hit needs to be hard."
"So when is this hit going to happen?" Pain asked, anxious to hear the news of his friend's attack.
