Behind the Book Special Event

Women Working in Panels - hosted by the Desk Set
Monday, July 21, 2008
at Huckleberry Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Student and parent writing

The Desk Set-- a New York–based circle of librarians and bibliophiles who socialize, explore the worlds of libraries and literacy, and support good causes— put together this special evening to benefit Behind the Book. The event took place in the outdoor garden at Huckleberry Bar, and featured a panel of female graphic artists and cartoonists who discussed their artwork and their experiences working in a male-dominated field. A raffle with a wide array of prizes, including tickets to art museums and etches, prints, and books by the panelists and other talented artists, capped this wonderful evening.
